This morning marked the beginning of the competition.  Early in the morning, I was interviewed by the 5 judges, which surprisingly went very well.  There were no trick questions or even anything about current events.  The panel truly wanted to get to know me as a person, which is all that I could have hoped for.  I answered all of the questions the best I feel I could have and did not have any awkward pauses.  I feel very confident now about how the whole morning went and feel that I was able to accurately show the judges who I am and my passions in life.

Lots of sleep tonight for my talent performance tomorrow night.  I luckily got the most nerve-wracking portion of the competition over with before the actual show, so I am feeling confident for tomorrow.  45% of my scores are already determined so all I can do now is make the judges love me even more.  I am so excited to show off my beautiful tutu and play my mischievous Black Swan!

To my Dance Progressions girls, I can not tell you how much the cards meant to me.  It was the perfect night for me to know that there were so many people back home supporting me.  I truly can not express how much I needed the encouragement.  The competition is definitely setting in for some and its so amazing to come home and see how much people care.  It really helped me refocus as to what I am here for.  I love you all so much and promise to make you proud tomorrow and this weekend.

Love,
Hilary
