Although, it is theoretically possible, it is extremely unlikely. The credit card company would have to obtain a judgment against you and then foreclose on your house. If there is a mortgage on your house, the mortgage company will be entitled to have the mortgage paid off completely before the credit card company can receive any money. So while it is possible for the credit card company to foreclose on your house, it is rarely done except in circumstances where someone does not have an outstanding mortgage on their house or if someone has a great deal of equity in their house. If you have questions about statement or tactics being used by your credit card company you may need to speak with an attorney on whether on not the credit card company has violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. The Mobile Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service may be able to help you find an attorney and can be reached at 433-1032.
