As a society we are so focused on the idea of time, "time is of the essence," "timing is everything." Timing my life has never been my strong suit. I tend to procrastinate, so I never had time to do my homework in high school, I'm always late, and whenever a big event in my life comes up, something has to go wrong. Like clockwork, everytime I have a big event coming up, something tragic and completely random happens. Three days ago I noticed a slight pain in my ankle. The next day a dull pain became full on throbbing, swelling, and bruising. I still have no idea how it happened, but it is my first instinct to blame our fitness routine. Luck has never been too abundant in my life either, but as the lady herself would have it, my host father just happens to be a physical therapist. Papa D as we affectionately refer to him has been taking care of what we have hastily identified and diagnosed as a lateral ankle sprain. The walking boot I'm in doesn't exactly coordinate with my sundresses, but hopefully it wll get me through until preliminaries. I'll try to blog more and update everyone on my status.
