Just a quick voiced concern: This evening around 5pm a suspicious gentlement knocked on my front door here in the Midtown area. It was a "familiar" knock (the kind to entice you to open the door). My husband had just left the house 10 min prior. After peeking through a corner blind, I saw the gentleman standing at the bottom of the front stoop. It was dark and rainy. I immediately called 911. I looked out the blinds again and the gentleman was nowhere to be seen. The police arrived approx. 12 min later. They expressed little concern; only inquired about subjects' clothing and said they would patrol the neighborhood. I expressed concern: our home had been broken into 6 months prior. Just wondering where our tax money goes? If the police department won't ensure public safety, who will? Just glad we got hand gun for Xmas; might be the only protection you can count on!!!
