It is sad to say that Spencer Elementary will be closing after this current school year, despite educational achievements. Why not give the students and staff something COOL to do before their last day? In 2011, Spencer Elementary was awarded one of Alabama's Torchbearer Schools. Since then, the principle, faculty, staff, PTO, and students have worked hard to continue their excellency to the end. This is why Spencer Elementary School is a very "Cool School." :)
