Juvenile Arrested in 'Yik Yak' School Threats
MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) The District Attorney's office has arrested a juvenile after threats were made to several schools via the app Yik Yak.
The announcement came down Thursday afternoon. No name or age was given. The juvenile is facing a charge of terroristic threats, and could spend up to three years at Strickland Youth Center.
We do know the juvenile was a male.
The messages came across the app Tuesday, some saying there would be shootings at several area schools the following day. Authorities alerted school officials, who then alerted parents.

The owner of the app helped the D.A.'s office identify the juvenile.
The app is location specific and that allowed investigators to get an exact address and cell phone information.
