MCPSS Agrees to Settle in Lawsuit
MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WPMI) The Mobile County School System has agreed to settle a lawsuit filed by seven principals.
The district was accused of assigning black principals to majority black schools and white principals to majority white schools.
The lawsuit was filed back in 2011 after the district allegedly didn't hire a black person to be the top leader at a majority white school for 10 years.
The terms of the settlement are not available yet, but school officials say it will not involve payments to the principals and attorney fees.
