Marijuana as Campaign Contribution
DENVER (AP) Campaign finance reports are usually pretty dry - but this one is pretty high.
The Colorado advocacy group "No Over Taxation" is reporting $1,250 worth of joints as a campaign contribution.
The pot was given away at rallies protesting a proposed 25 percent tax on retail marijuana.
The report filing follows a complaint by a watchdog group that the free pot should be considered a campaign expense.
The report says the joints were donated by Denver attorney Robert Corry.
