Louisiana Teen Falls 16 Stories To His Death In Orange Beach

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (WPMI) -  Police in Orange Beach are investigating after an 18-year-old was found dead Friday.

They say the teenager, Challenge Talbot of Thibodaux, Louisiana, fell 16 stories off a balcony at Turquoise Place Condominiums and landed in a swimming pool.   A local couple staying at Turquoise Place spotted Talbot's body face down in the water around 3:45 a.m. They called 911, but paramedics were unable to revive him.   "There are no witnesses. We haven't been able to find the video yet and there's no indication of foul play. However, we're not through with the investigation. We're still trying to find out as much as we can. It's certainly not easy to see this and you know, the officer that responded to this, it's hard for him to see, I know," said Orange Beach Police Chief Billy Wilkins.   Police say it's too early to tell whether drugs or alcohol played a role. Talbot was vacationing in Orange Beach with friends.   Talbot graduated from E. D. White Catholic High School in Thibodaux. He was on the swim team there. Friday night the school held a candlelight vigil in his memory.
