NCAA Under Fire for Miami Invesitgation

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - NCAA President Mark Emmert says vice president of enforcement Julie Roe Lach is leaving the organization.

Lach was the first woman to lead the enforcement division. An independent evaluation of the NCAA's handling of the University of Miami investigation says Lach and another key manager failed to ask why one of their employees had set up NCAA payments to an attorney for convicted Ponzi schemer Nevin Shapiro.

Emmert said Monday that Jonathan Duncan as the new interim VP of enforcement. Duncan has spent the past 15 years focusing on sports law and education at a private law firm.
