South Alabama rode a 44-point first half that included five 3-pointers from Xavier Roberson to defeat Florida Atlantic 77-66 Thursday night at FAU Arena.
Roberson scored a career-high 23 points and went 5-for-8 from behind the 3-point arc. Augustine Rubit recorded his third straight double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Javier Carter just missed a double-double of his own with 11 points and nine boards, but added four blocks.
The Jags scored a season-high 44 points in the first half and hit seven triples as a team.
