Pens activate Letang, Niskanen

Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - The Pittsburgh Penguins activated defensemen Kris Letang and Matt Niskanen from injured reserve on Wednesday.

Letang missed three games with a lower-body injury. He had three goals and six assists before getting injured.

Niskanen has been out of action since suffering a right ankle injury during a Jan. 27 game against Ottawa. He had one goal and two assists prior to the injury.

Pittsburgh also assigned defenseman Dylan Reese to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League.
