Victoria, Africa is the name of a continent, not a country. African Americans are labeled African Americans because that’s where the origin of the race originates. African Americans can not refer to themselves, for example, as Ethiopian Americans, South African Americans, or Nigerian Americans because Africans Americans can not trace their ancestors back to the original location in Africa where they were born. Consequently, when slaves were taken from Africa, everything was lost, including the original country that the slaves were taken from. Because of this, an ancestor of slaves can’t even trace their family name back because the slaves took on the last name of their owners. Furthermore, many slave owners raped their slaves thus creating biracial children. As a result, many African Americans racial make-up is very diverse. You should seek to have a better understanding of why a certain terminology is used before you become offended and make such racial comment. Your offense only shows how ignorant you are.

JimSmith, it's not logical to generalize an entire group of people. First, the article never mentions the offender’s race; it simply says her name is Lawanda Alford. So you must have racially profiled her by assuming she was black. Most importantly, your premise that she is this way because she’s black is completely idiotic. Using your premise, one could say; all whites are child abusers (Jerry Sandusky), all whites cheat in life to get ahead (Lance Armstrong), all whites get away with murder (Casey Anthony and Steve Nodine), and all whites kill innocent people for no reason (James Holmes, theater massacre). You get the point? This is simply a case of passionate mother who doesn't know how to control her anger when it comes to her kids. It has NOTHING to do with race.

It is sad when the black people have to go to the extreme to be noticed. All they have to do is open their mouth. I have black friends, I have white friends and so on but for life of me I can't understand why they are like they are. Not only that...they are NOT AFRICAN Americans. If you were born here then you are an American. You were not born in Africa. Do here white people saying things like I am an Irish American?....come on!

Blacks are always keeping it classy. See how gracious they are when criticized? There is no reasoning with them, nor is there any living with them in peace. Only total separation will work for the best interests of blacks, White, and other races. If God wanted all brown people he would have created only brown people, but he created several races with their own distinct homelands. It's only a Satanic, communist Agenda that seeks to rebuild the Tower of Babel in these modern times. It too will come crashing down; harder, louder, and with greater consequences for humans world wide.
