(BILOXI, Miss.) Biloxi Major A.J. Holloway has named Stacy L. Thacker to replace Brenda Johnson as the municipal clerk.
Thacker has been the deputy municipal clerk for eight years, and has worked for the city since 1989.
Thacker graduated from D'Iberville High School in 1986 and earned an associate's degree from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
The Sun Herald reports Thacker is expected to take over as clerk in January.
