PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) After reviewing the Pascagoula School District this week, a team of auditors will recommend the district retain its accreditation status.

The Sun Herald reports the AdvanceEd team presented its findings and specific recommendations at a special school board meeting Wednesday.

Kathy Sergeant, AdvanceEd lead evaluator, said team members visited classrooms in kindergarten through 12th grades for 20 minutes each and interviewed 269 people including teachers, parents, community members, students and support staff.

The district will learn if it has received accreditation in June.
