HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Forecasters say sleet and a dusting of snow is possible for counties in northern Alabama and at least one city is reporting icing on some bridges.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for the region Saturday morning. An icy mix of precipitation was predicted to turn to rain as temperatures warmed up later in the day.

The advisory affects the counties of Madison, Limestone, Morgan, Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb and Cullman, as well as some counties in Tennessee.

Madison police reported some bridges and elevated roadways were icing over Saturday morning. Officials were urging motorists to use caution.

Weather service forecasters say no snow accumulation is expected.
