(FOSTERS, Ala.) A new maternity home for pregnant, homeless women is opening in Fosters.

The Jean Browning Maternity Home will dedicate its new facility during an open house event Sunday.

The home provides pregnant women with food, shelter and a chance to earn a high school degree. The Tuscaloosa News reports that the program moved into its new building after getting a $300,000 donation from New Beginnings Church in Northport.

Each woman living at the home is required to have a job or be in school during her stay.
