TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) Former Gov. Charlie Crist will appear at the Delhi Sustainable Development Summit in India.

Crist will participate in a panel discussion Thursday called "Defining the Future We Want." Other panelists include former Finnish President Tarja Halonen and former Guyanese President Bharrat Jagdeo.

Crist was one of the leading Republican voices on the threat of climate change, holding annual summits on the topic and pushing for legislation that would promote clean energy. He left the Republican Party in 2010, his final year in office. He registered as a Democrat last month.
