(BILOXI, Miss.) A 66 year old Biloxi man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for having several thousand sexually explicit pictures and videos of children on his home computer.
The Sun Herald reports Judge Larry Bourgeois sentenced Wendell Wayne Hayes on Monday in Harrison County Circuit Court. The judge ordered the prison term served day for day without the hope of early release.
Hayes had pleaded guilty to child exploitation on Dec. 10, but the penalty phase was delayed pending a pre-sentence investigation.
Hayes was convicted in the sexual battery and unnatural intercourse of two children in Harrison County in 1983.
