GAUTIER, Miss. (AP) - An Alabama man has been charged in the fatal shooting of a Biloxi man in Gautier.
A Jackson County grand jury indicted 62-year-old Steven Michael Brown on a murder charge in the August shooting death of 61-year-old Jacob Thomas Markowitz.
Police found Markowitz's body in the cab of his truck after responding to a report of a vehicle fire. Brown is suspected of shooting him during an armed robbery.
Authorities say Brown and Markowitz were acquaintances.
