(MOBILE, Ala.) - An Alabama man who pleaded guilty to impersonating a federal marshal during an unauthorized traffic stop was sentenced to six months in prison.

The Mobile Press-Register reports that a judge sentenced James Wesley Webb last week.

Prosecutors say Webb used the red and blue flashing lights on his Ford Crown Victoria to pull over several drivers on June 8.

Summerdale Police Chief Eddie Ingram said he spotted Ingram and chased him at speeds that reached 140 mph.

He said when he finally caught up, Webb tried flashing him a fake badge.

t the hearing, Webb asked the judge to show him mercy.

He said it was a "dumb" move and he wanted to prove he was sorry.

LAUGHABLE at best, makes me want to go get a blue light and a badge with a little ole punishment like that!! no repurcussions for serious crimes!! JOKE NATION!! all you military can go fight for that justice, smart people: stay in school!!

What is the penalty for people in Mobile impersonating a Mayor and Police Chief? Sam and Mike T better hope it's not jail time. Back to the fool that is going to jail, if he would have shot someone or killed them he'd got less time by a Mobile Circuit or District Judge.
