(STAPLETON, Ala.) June 14 - A woman was raped in Stapleton early Sunday morning, and Loxley police say a bicycle helped them find their suspect.

Loxley police say Charles Raines, 31, was arrested Sunday morning and booked into the Robertsdale Jail after he confessed to breaking into a woman's house by removing the air-conditioning unit, raping her and leaving the scene.

Police say they followed bike tracks from the victim's window to Raines's residence, where a bike was sitting in the front yard. Police say Raines matched the description provided by the victim, and he confessed raping the woman at knife point crime during questioning.

Raines is charged with rape, burglary and assault.
