FAIRHOPE, Ala. (AP) - Police in south Alabama say they are searching for a woman who was arrested in her younger brother's stabbing death and missed her court hearing.
AL.com reports 29-year-old Maleya McMillan of Fairhope missed her Jan. 18 court appearance. She was arrested in the Feb. 2009 death of 22-year-old Mustafa McMillan and was released on $75,000 bond from the Baldwin County Corrections Center.
Authorities say McMillan and her brother fought after the man argued with his mother over failing to do his chores. Officials have said McMillan stepped into the argument and was lying in a puddle of her brother's blood when police arrived.
It is unclear if McMillan has a lawyer.
Fairhope is about 20 miles southeast of Mobile.
