What’s Going Around: Sinusitis, Bronchitis, RSV and Strep

(MOBILE, Ala.) Dec. 8 - Does someone in your house have a high temperature, and loss of appetite? They’re not alone!

This week, Dr. Donald Bedsole at The American Family Care on Montlimar Drive says his waiting room is packed with people complaining of fever, coughs, sore throats, sinus pressure and sinus drainage. Just this week alone, Dr. Bedsole says he’s diagnosed several cases of sinusitis, strep and seasonal flu.

Further West on Schillinger Road, Dr. Darren Waters at the Greater Mobile Urgent Care Clinic says he’s treating sinusitis and bronchitis in adults. He’s also seeing a few cases of Respiratory

Syncytial Virus or RSV! The winter months are the prime season for young children to contract the potentially dangerous respiratory virus.

On the other side of town on Nevius Road in Tillman’s Corner, Dr. Dee Dee Kidd says colder temperatures are leaving a lot of her patients sick too. Right now she's treating sinus infections and upper respiratory infections, some pharyngitis and strep.

Further North in Saraland Dr. Mark McDaniel is also seeing several cases of upper respiratory infections, intestinal viruses and some season flu.
