(FAIRHOPE, Ala.) July 6 - A vigil was held in Fairhope Monday night to remember a 13-year-old killed while riding a utility vehicle.
Emily Dunham was killed instantly Sunday afternoon when the four-wheeled vehicle on which she was a passenger flipped over, authorities said. The accident happened off County Road 44 in the Summer Oaks Place area. Dunham was riding the vehicle, similar to an ATV, with her male cousin, who was similar in age, authorities said.
Dunham's friends attended a vigil at the Fairhope Pier Monday night. Dunham's parents were reportedly too distraught to attend the memorial.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been set.
