Pace, Fla. - Investigators say a house fire that killed an elderly man in pace started in the kitchen.
Firefighters were called to the home on pine meadows loop around 6p.m. Tuesday.
The State Fire marshal says something was cooking in the kitchen when the fire started.
Firefighters found a handicapped man dead inside the home.
An elderly woman was airlifted to the University of South Alabama Burn Center where she is in critical condition.
