(CLARKE COUNTY, Ala.) - Crews continue their efforts to restore water to residents in Clarke County, where an estimated 10,000 - 12,000 people have been living without water for days.
EMA Director Roy Waite tells LOCAL 15 News all customers in the Grove Hill area have stabilized water pressure.
There is currently no water for people in the Greenwood, Basset Creek, Midway and Sand Flat areas.
80% to 85% of people in Thomasville also lost all water last night.
The cold weather is primarily to blame for the water problems; usage is up because so many people have been running water to keep pipes from freezing.
Drinking water is available to those in need at the civic center in Thomasville between 7am and 10pm.
Non-drinking water is also available at the National Guard Armory in Thomasville from 10am - 8pm.
