MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Mobile Fire-Rescue says three houses on Elmira street suffered damage from fires.

Local 15 News spoke with MFR public information officer, Steve Huffman, who saw the damage first hand at the location.

Huffman says the fire originated at 957 Elmira Street, a vacant house. It was between the two houses that subsequently sustained damage.

The middle house suffered substantial damage. It was under renovation and the electricity was connected.

The house on the right was occupied, but the owner was not home.

The house to the left of the vacant house suffered damage to the side, with smoke stains. The occupant was able to escape with no injuries.

Officials got the call for a residential fire at 8:41 p.m. Wednesday night.

Mobile Fire-Rescue is still investigating the cause of these fires.
