MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Firefighters have a blaze burning across the street from a nursing home under control.
A Local 15 News photojournalist was on the scene as emergency crews tamed the fire that had fully engulfed an empty building that appeared to be up for sale.
Officials got the call at 10:46 p.m. Tuesday night.
The fire was located at the intersection of Congress Street and Washington Avenue.
That's right across the street from Sea Breeze Nursing Home located on 550 Congress Street.
Local 15 News has learned patients in the nursing home are safe as of a check at 10:58 p.m.
