UPDATE 1:15PM:Alabama Power officials say about 300 customers in the Mobile are without power after severe weather.
MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Alabama Power crews are working to restore power to 3,500 customers in the Mobile area.
Most of the service outages are in west Mobile and Saraland.
Officials say the damage is wind related. Alabama Power says they expect more power outages as the severe weather moves through.
Crews want to remind folks to stay away from downed power lines.
No word on when the power will be restored.
