(MOBILE, Ala.) July 4 - New population estimates released by the U.S. Census Bureau show Mobile is shrinking.

Figures released Wednesday by the census bureau show Mobile's population for 2008 at 191,022 people, which is a decline of about 220 people when compared to the city's population in 2007.
