MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Monday kicked off free doughnuts for donating Mardi Gras beads at Krispy Kreme.
In return for dropping off beads, you will get a dozen free doughnuts. The beads then go to Augusta Evans, where the students will sort and sell the beads to Mardi Gras organization.
"That's to help with their skills over there at the school. That'll last them all year to reprocess the beads and then they sell them back to the mystic societies, and that money goes back into the schools," said Bob Glidden with Krispy Kreme.
You will need 12 pounds of beads to get one free dozen doughnuts.
