(BAY MINETTE, Ala.) Bay Minette Mayor Jamie Tillery is responding to complaints that clogged ditches are causing flooding in parts of her city.

As we reported Thursday night seniors living in Village Oaks are upset about drainage problems that flood their area. They say the old drainage ditch can't handle the water that drains into their neighborhood.

They claim the city has been giving them the runaround, and told them they can't afford a new drainage system. Tillery says the ditch is working just fine, and blames the flooding on too much rain in a short period of time.
