Forecast Summary:
Dark skies will dominate this Christmas Eve, but don't let the bad weather that's coming later today dampen your holiday spirit! Stormy weather moves in this afternoon out ahead of a strong cold front that could cut a lot of Christmas shopping short and could also cause some delays for holiday traffic. There's also the threat for these storms to turn severe with damaging winds, heavy rainfall and isolated tornadoes. The timing takes the storms into southeast Mississippi by early afternoon, then tracking across Mobile and Pensacola by early evening. The storms shift eastward, outside of our viewing area after midnight. In it's wake, colder, Christmas air spills in and skies begin to thin out. Christmas Day promises a mix of sun and clouds with daytime highs in the 50s. A chilly Christmas night will be in store with lows dipping into the 30s. The weather remains cool & crisp for the rest of the holiday weekend! A few isolated storms pop back into the picture next Tuesday or Wednesday of next week! Happy Holidays!
