Teens Arrested for Robbery

(MOBILE, Ala.) Police say robbery turns into chaos after police say two teenagers steal a car then crash it into a pole.

Police arrested 17-year-old Deonte Hughes and 16-year-old Tyler Brazelton.

They say the two approached a victim just before 11:30 Wednesday afternoon with a handgun and demanded money. Police say the two then took the car. Police tried to stop the car, which turned into a short pursuit, when the driver lost control and wrecked the car.

Police say it could have been worse.

"It could have been potentially deadly, but luckily nobody was hurt. We don't have a report of any injuries," said Corporal Chris Levy, with the Mobile Police Department.

Both are charged with robbery first degree and potentially more charges pending.

@Mayhem: and another thing. Whenever you hear about some kind mall shooting, movie show shooting, sikh temple shooting, school (high school and elementary) it usually somebody with a really "Brady Bunch" sounding name. It is never a Deonte or whatever. So the point is that evil comes in all colors. GIVE IT A REST!

Please charge them as adults! They tore up someone's car! They could have killed somebody! Where in the world did they get a gun from?!

It just never ends!! I had a feeling that the perp wasn't named Chip, Jeremy, or Mark, it had to be one of those weird distinctive names like Deonte', LaMarcus, JaMichael, Shenadoahelle, Barkeese, etc. Is everyone of these types taught from cradle to grave to rob, steal, cheat, rape,, and murder? Let me guess, Gramdma raised these jackals cause' Moma was/is a crackwhore and dump the punks off at Granny's doorstep when they were born. And since Granny done raised her 12 chillins she ain't got no time to see fit that the next ones are raised and taught right from wrong, just get the standard issued government idiot checks for each one and throw some food on the table and hope for the best.
