Suspected Bank Robbers Given Bond

(BAY MINETTE, Ala.) Dec. 19 -- Two of the four suspected bank robbers sheriff's deputies consider extremely dangerous will stay in jail, for now.

A Baldwin County judge set bond for J.D. Godwin at $2 million Friday morning. Sidney Clark was given a $1 million bond.

Deputies say Clark and Godwin along with Gregory Baber and Lloyd Schaefer robbed banks in Lillian, Magnolia Springs and Burkeville, Ala.

Investigators say the suspects carried more than a thousand rounds of ammunition and more than a dozen guns. They even wore bullet-proof vests.
