Students Launch Petition for More Graduation Guests

Mobile County Schools recently announced it will limit the number of guests students can invite to graduation.

We pay our taxes, we pay Senior fees, $100 for a cap & gown, support our schools, teachers and administrators. We make sure our children attend school. We try to teach our children to do what is expected of them for 13 years. Only to have them be told their family and friends cannot attend the celebration of their achievement because of the raudy actions by a few. I do not mean to be disrespectful Ms Peek, but would you truly want to watch your grandchild, sibling, niece or nephew graduate via Internet streaming?

I'm sure that my stepdaughter's aunts & uncles who are flying in from North Carolina & Colorado will be glad to know they can watch live on the internet! Being part of a large blended family, we will not have any tickets for grandparents or other extended family members.
