(SPANISH FORT, Ala.) - If you didn't know how much pride Spanish Fort has in its high school football team, all you need to do is read the large sign outside city hall: "Toro Territory".
Insurance agent Lad Drago made his allegiance clear on the sign outside his Statefarm office.
"It says 'This is Toros Country'," Drago told Local 15. "We're all excited for this game."
The mayor and seemingly half the town went to Auburn for the Class 5A State Championship Game.
"It's a ghost town it seems like, but those of us that stayed home are all here cheering," Spanish Fort mom Jennifer Davis said, sitting in a crowd of Toros fans watching the game at the local Beef 'O' Brady's.
They all cheered on as the Spanish Fort Toros went on to dominate McAdory, an intimidating opponent that went undefeated in the regular season.
Judging from the passion of its fans at home, it's pretty clear the squad is in for one heck of a homecoming.
