(ROBERTSDALE, Ala.) Dec. 16 -- One local community is dealing with it's most violent crime in years. Nicholas Ott is in jail, accused of shooting another man in Robertsdale.

Police say the two got into an argument in the front yard of a house on College Avenue. Deputies say Ott fired a gun at Robert Murphy and took off.

He was arrested three hours later near Robertsdale Elementary. Neighbors say they hope this crime doesn't turn into a trend.

Police don't know why the two were fighting. Ott is charged with assault. Murphy was still in the hospital Tuesday.
