(MOBILE, Ala.) - Local 15 News talked with the mother of a shooting victim Wednesday night, who said her son was targeted for the wrong reason.
Debra Davis said three men barged into her home on Basil Street Tuesday evening and started arguing with her son.
"My daughter called me and said 'ma, they fighting Davis.' So I came to see what was going on and the guy steady telling my son, 'you set my cousin up.' And I said wait a minute, wait a minute. By the time is said wait a minute the second time, the guy fired two shots and ran out the house," Davis said.
Police said the victim was shot once in the leg. Davis said her son is recovering at home.
Justin Williams and Xavier Williams are charged with second degree assault in the incident.
