A 2001 Corvette is hardly a classic car by any means. I see them all the time on C-Lists and eBay for under 15K and most have extemely high mileage which means they were probably driven daily. I have known people that have been unfortunate victims of a house fire and a couple of them made out like a bandit from insurance policies and one even bought a Corvette with the insurance money. If you're smart you have the contents excessively covered and documented and a low insurance deductible. Trust me, if this man had a motive the insurance investigators will find out and the Fire Marshall will likely find the cause of the fire. Having a house fire is not the be all end all unless a pet or human was hurt or died in the fire. Material things can be easily replaced and heirlooms only last so many generations.

Hi, again and jusf like you I wanted to see if you had a reply. Actually I don't know this man but I am someone of compassion and pray that if something like this happened to me someone was defend my honor. These people lost everything he has nothing to gain. And just bc your apart of automobile club doesn't mean you have to drive it to every meeting, that's stupid. Thats why they are trophy cars. I'm pretty sure other people would agree that you don't drive trophy cars as an everyday automobile but to special events. Like car shows, parades, etc. Again I hope nothing of this matter or different happens to you bc then you will see exactly what type of a problem and headache it really is. And to the other comments about rednecks and meth labs where did that even come from. Now those are just crazy comments with no motive.

Am I missing somehing here or what? I'm trying to figure out what this story has to do with rednecks? Anyone else puzzled by these out of the ball park rants?

@joesmith, Dude! You are a complete idiot and your copy and paste rant is ridiculously stupid too. Does the word redneck pop into your mind every 10 seconds? It sure seems to have, and maybe in the past a so-called "redneck" kicked your a$$ took your lunch money and stole your ole lady and you're having a hard time getting over it? What a clown shoes buffoon lil' joe kokomo is!!

Stories in recent years of black people in Semmes being victims of racist vandalism come to mind.

Wow!!! Posted a reply comment in just 27 minutes to see if anyone has some suspicion about the "suspicious" fire? Must be monitoring the news around the clock and hoping nobody sees any red flags...lol. Everyone is entitled to their own views and opinions and mine may be right or wrong 50%-50%... just saying.

So he was attending a Corvette Club meeting and his 2001 Corvette was at home getting cooked in a house fire? Did I get that right? Better check the consistency payments on his mortgage and his insurance policy to see what's up with that... just saying.
