(MOBILE, Ala.) July 3 - Despite rumors and mumblings to the contrary, school officials say Marion Dunn will not be taking over his old job as coach of the B.C. Rain basketball team.

Dunn lost his coaching job in 2004 after video surfaced of a disciplinary tactic that consisted of players beating up a teammate for a set amount of time.

Dunn successfully appealed his firing, but he was not allowed to coach for four years.

While it appears Dunn has resumed some of his duties as athletics director, school spokeswoman Nancy Pierce says the appointment has not been approved by the Mobile Public School System school board.
