School Board Will Vote on Vaughn Elementary

(BAY MINETTE, Ala.) April 22 - Some major changes could be coming to Baldwin County Schools. Tomorrow, the school board will vote on whether or not to close Vaughn Elementary in Stockton.

The school board has already voted to close the Baldwin County Alternative School in Fairhope.

School officials say job cuts are also on the board's agenda, and the board will vote on cutting 192 certified positions including teachers and 129 classified employees including lunchroom workers, maintenance staff and custodians.

The Baldwin County School System employees approximately 4,000 people.
