Saraland School System Names Superintendent Finalists

(SARALAND, Ala.) June 4 - The Saraland School Board has narrowed it's choices to become the system's superintendent down to two candidates who will be interviewed next week.

Interim Superintendent Paul Sousa says the finalists for the position are Danny Weeks, who is superintendent of Elba City Schools, and Lawrence Vickers, who is superintendent of Demopolis City Schools.

Sousa says both men will vying to take the position, which has been open since the school system's first superintendent, David Stiles, died suddenly last September. Sousa has been serving as interim superintendent while the system conducted it's search for a new leader.

Weeks and Vickers will be brought in for final interviews next week.
