MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Mary G. Montgomery High School parents tell Local 15 they started hearing rumors of a female teacher’s alleged relationship with a male student last year.
“I first heard about it about two months ago,” parent Barbary Diziuba told Local 15.
Diziuba said she first heard the rumor from another parent around Christmas break, then proceeded to hear it from a number of students and her son who is a senior.
“I can not wait until [my son] is out on May 16,” Diziuba said.
Local 15 has learned the name of the teacher, but is not releasing her name at this time because she has not been charged or arrested.
The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office said they were notified by school officials Monday of the alleged relationship, and the investigation is still in its early stages.
The Mobile County School System told Local 15 the teacher was placed on paid administrative leave during the investigation.
