(ROBERTSDALE, Ala.) July 2 - A Robertsdale man has been indicted on federal child pornography charges.
Authorities say Jerry Bates, 43, is charged with producing and distributing obscene matter containing a minor.
Police say Bates used a remote control to record the private bedroom moments of a young family member and at least three of those family member's friends.
If convicted, the federal charges carry a 15-year to 30-year prison sentence.
