(PRICHARD, Ala.) - It was a packed house at the Prichard City Council meeting.
Residents filled the room mainly in support of "police chief in question" Jimmie Gardner.
He was fired by Mayor Troy Ephriam, but Gardner says his firing wasn't legal.
Citizens spoke asking the mayor and council to publically explain the process.
No action was taken Thursday night.
But Mayor Ephriam has been subpoenaed to appear in court Monday morning.
