(PRICHARD, Ala.) - Prichard City Councilman Lorenzo Martin says he wants to use city funds to research the health effects from that mercaptan spill in Eight Mile.
The spill led to a foul odor in the area.
Mobile Gas and ADEM are working to fix the problem.
Mayor Troy Ephriam says he's open to researching the health effects, but the funds would have to come from the budget in the new fiscal year.
