(MOBILE, Ala.) Mobile Police say a 17-year-old was shot during Monday night's MoonPie Over Mobile festivities.

It happened just after midnight near Bienville Square.

Police say the teenager was shot in the leg and his injury is not life-threatening.

Police say a fight started between several people in the area when shots were fired and hit the teen as he was attempting to leave.

Anyone with information is asked to call police. They are still investigating.

Hey Oh S**t...You're not Black, you have two College degrees? You're full of S**t and a lousy liar at that! Maybe a BS degree from Alabama A&M. Keep telling yourself that because you're the only one on the site that believes any of it!

Oh longiewillietom - there you go again. Remember your BP. Once more you reveal your lack of disernment. I am not black. I have two college degrees plus work beyond those levels. And the area where I live is not as rough as the one old Joe implies he lives in.(I left michigan for this kind of backwoods ghetto and redneck trash culture expecting a nice southern peaceful environment) I live not in fear but peace and have no problem at all being outside in my neighborhood after dark. And ole MayMan - the lady got shot out in west Mobile when she yelled at a speeding car. I was always taught to avoid trouble like that. No she should have not gotten shot and the young man should not have been run over - but both were instances that escalated. BTW don't know anyghing about the curfew - it's not a problem when I am downtown - where I will likely be again to see the Tide roll next Monday.

How's that curfew working out for teens and downtown Mobile? Just last week a drunk guy was mowed down by a Tahoe after getting into a verbal altercation. Why would anyone want to go downtown and get shot or ran over?

Oh Really, with how things are down here a person damn near needs to keep them and their family under the table and even that is risky. I can't believe I left michigan for this kind of backwoods ghetto and redneck trash culture expecting a nice southern peaceful environment. How naive I was. I think I'll make plans to move back north where even the criminals have more class and sense.

This part of the country just keeps proving everyday that it is high class and superior to those yankee slums with its utopian environment that doesn't have ghetto trash and white redneck inbred trash.

S-O jere - by your reasoning then Public safety and protection are more important than kids going to school. Hmm - Interesting. Can't stay at home under the table all the time guy. Just saying.

Attention Fred Richardson: Public safety and protection are more important than Moon Pie drops.
