(PENSACOLA, Fla.) -  A Pensacola pastor and private school administrator is facing abuse charges after a student accused him of punching her several times.

69-year-old Willie Demps was arrested and charged with three counts of child abuse.
The student told her grandparent she had been paddled and punched in the leg for misconduct.

Demps' neighbors were surprised to hear about the arrest. "Living next to him for eight years, it's mind boggling to me. I know his wife, his kids. He's a mighty man of God. I would have my children go to his school" says Gary Benitez.

Willie Demps was given a $3000 bond.
